Dr. Sharon L. Jick

Dr. Sharon L. Jick is a board certified, comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmologist. Her interests include the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and dry eyes. Dr. Jick received her bachelor of arts degree in English cum laude from Yale University and earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego.
She completed her internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Currently, she is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Washington University. Dr. Jick is active within the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Currently, she serves as editor of the Lens and Cataract section of the Academy’s Basic and Clinical Science Course.
She also a member of a committee which generates educational materials for ophthalmologists working to maintain their board certification.
Additional professional affiliations include the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the St. Louis Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Jick is the proud mother of two active children. A New York native, she has lived in St. Louis since the completion of her residency in 2003.
